                      Happy Holidays my friends!
while we wait for our third boy to be born in late March and being absent from the heavy housework I just follow my fancy in doing little and relaxing things like making painted softies(palm size).I made a few in these serene Christmas days and now sharing with you.i don't know what will come next i already feel that it would be the time for some paper mache...
 so here my little animals wishing you all the bests in the New Year!

kid design into softie

diving from drawing to paper mache then stamp carving , now softies.i made about 5 softies in my life so this is quite a new challenge that i really love.
this two little softie dogs were actually made after my sons drawing when he had 6y.i found it in a sketchbook and decided to make it as i can.even if it's not exactly as he designed both my boys were very satisfied with the result.still i want to make a cat or some other funny animal to give it as a gift for Christmas.

the heavy cotton fabric was painted with acrylics as i don't have any other usable type of fabric in the house for softies and it was both machine and hand sewn.

i'm drooling for some time at speedball's carving rubber and carving tools but i thought maybe time will end up my "sufferings" and will find below hands in our town something similar. sadly they never have heard about carving rubber only of it's step sister -the very expensive and not at all "butter" like lino.
still i had the mood for carving so i thought i may try to do the same with some erasers.i pick up three types and i hade another from Turkey.two of them matched i just needed the missing carving tool.you'll laugh but i made a verrrry simple carving tool from tin can.i will show it later no time for pictures today.
i must say we had the greatest time with my three years old and i felt like being one too.i'm sure i'll stamp some more pages even if i will not show the naif result,lol.it is fun very relaxing and i love it!

 now i want to make a soft cat miaooooooooooooo! and maybe will stamp its fabric ;)

crazy stain doodles- Show and Tell Saturday#28

 hi.i love to doodle.i love to draw.but my smart hand cannot obtain the desired images from my confuse head.that's why i hang on with my beloved doodles.though i love Mr.T's -over at creativetuesdays themes i can't always accomplish the task.last weeks theme was bottle and i couldn't draw a bottle hehehe as i wanted.so the sketch stays unfinished.now for this week the theme is " news" and i need to draw a fancy mirror,jam again.if i will not be at least a bit contented it will stay again unfinished.meanwhile i'm having great fun with stain(and paint stain) doodles.these series of almost the same eaten and "forgotten"(by my eldest) pear cob stain made my evening even more delicious(we had pizza before).i boosted some of the doodles i loved the effect and i will do some more as soon as i find a stain,lol.

  luckily the paper was folded in four and the furniture did not suffered...this above was the   "mother"stain,enhanced in picassa.

creative tuesday's "break new ground"

i'm facing a problem with my blogger,i can't access my control panel from the front page only if i click edit on a post then close that while the control panel appears and only then i can write.not mentioning the crashes that happens every one minute or even less....thought i changed my password and reinstalled google chrome..i hope it's not a virus problem again on my pc.

now back to the theme-these two weeks theme over at Mr.T's blog was to listen to a song and draw something inspired of it.it's title is "break new ground".i liked the challenge and even if i'm not a fabulous drawer as i mostly doodle i tried my luck on. initially it was another drawing that were completely messed by my little one so i redrew only what i found more convineable-easier to do.

failed challenge

i was looking around for some inspiration and i saw over at Mr.T's that there are two themes that i could and would approach "curls" and "birds of a feather".for the first step having curls in my mind i made quickly the outer lines with  success if i do not report a single straight line out of control.. then i just let my pencil take charge.it even appeared one bird of a feather still there are to many things that are not related to the feathery theme,mushrooms,fish,boots...so i can't link my doodle the bird theme nor to the curls because of those spikes that had to be there while i was doodling,lol......double failure.still i remained with a light(?) doodle that i like.just another weed of my mind :)
 i made a little boost in picassa using the orton-ish function and added a white contour.

                                              ps.i can't find those 8 inches of this fruitful summer ;)

just a few doodle :).though my pencils and paper were mostly at hand still i was trapped by nature ;)
and yes we had a superb summer.i hope you'd the same!a couple of days before we came home i made a few inches (i hope i can find them somewhere) and this two doodles.i just followed my bliss :) and that's what came out:

 I didn't submitted mine yet because i'm not too contented with my doodle,it is not enough colorful  i may give it another try still i show it to you it's been long time since i posted and i got bored seeing the same page.

Unluckily my scanner does not pick up the colors well...not bothering with that much as not many chances to win at least it is a push to do some doodles...and that's good!

very late Creative Thursday

i didn't managed to post it in time ,it wasn' t ready and now that's finished i don't like it at all.
like the idea but not the way i colored it.it is too much,not transparent and overloaded.plus the scanner did not picked well the colors,maybe later i will change the image but now i hear an open call from the family that sounds like enouuuugh
anyway thanks for watching,maybe next time i will be able to be ready...but i can't promise.

doodle gift tag #3

today i was too tired for a passive relax-if you can imagine that- so it became an active one.
this is how this gift tag nr.3 was born.yesterday we celebrated our elder sons birthday with a "latino"party- pinata,salsa,balloons and stuffs so i really needed a brake.Friday we were invited at a party-so i made my first pinata and yesterday i saw my second pinata beaten up to bits,lol.this was quite exciting for the kids as we don't have this habit and it become the highlight of the evenings, unexpected and so much loved by them.
believe me some people were coming out from the shops to see better what's that bold,big and colorful stuff we were proudly taken to the "long"walk.i hope to put some images to my other blog next week but i already cannot find the first pinata's pictures...now i'm showing you today's active relax result.

doodle gift tag #2

i must run...this week we have a superb concert .we are playing Bernstein,Tchaikovski selections form Swan Lake,Oneghin,Strauss etc so i must be earlier there and being this week the second violins chef i have to do my best.still i'm here lol...here the second gift tag,tomorrow some paint stain figures...

upcycled gift tag into doodle gift tag

i think i got bored coiling (this is what i've been doing lately in my spare time) and rolling paper so today i continued my eco-friendly activity by upcycling a cardboard gift tag.it always feels so good when come back to my first love-doodling! ... three steps and ready!...thanks for watching!

                               step 3 was to glue a piece of white paper on the cardboard
                                                       and the finished gift tag :

                                    sealed with mod podge then a mat acrylic spray varnish.
                                           note:-the hanger is also a recyled gift wrap paper
